Thanks Andy. Had a fantastic time, love the cottage, love the village. 2 Fore St is very good for evening meal - great seafood.

What a great week. The Netloft is so bright by day and cosy in the evning. Walks from Mousehole to Lamorna, Sennen Cove to Lands End. Minack Theatre is spectacular and we had a very lazy afternoon on Porthcurno Beach in the sunshine - Bliss! Fab meals at 2 Fore St and Cornish Range and best cream tea at Jessie's Dairy!!! We will so be back!!

Peter and Mary, New Mexico, USA, June '08
What a full week - lots of walks, bus journeys and glorious scenery. Saw a seal at St Ives. 6 paintings by Leon this week (he's an artist). Hired bikes in Penzance - good route along seafront to St Michael's Mount. Minack Theatre - don't miss. We got the 300 bus from Penzance (open top) lovely. Good food in The Ship pub. Great cottage - cosy and well equipped. We're loving it!
Donna and Leon, Norfolk, June '08
'We had the time our lives'!! We absolutely love the Net Loft, it's perfect. We did lots of Fab walks. St Ives so lovely for a day trip too. We recommend Fore St for dinner and The Ship Inn for a pint! We'll definitely be back.
Emma and James, London, July '08
Had an AMAZING time! Loved the Net Loft and will be back! We recommend 3 restaurants, especially early bird at Cornish Range = bargain! Padstow for a pasty, cream tea at Lamorna Pottery. Don't do the coastal walk to Lamorna unless you are into walking! Thanks again. Very sad to be leaving.
Steve and Karen, Hampshire, July '08
Have had a lovely stay, weather been kind although bucketing down on the last day! Enjoyed walks, bird hospital, drinking in The Ship Inn and getting acquainted with some locals!
Tom and Sarah, Exeter, August '08

Neal and Jenny, Dorset, October '08
Had a lovely time - lovely sunshine and lots of walks around coastline. Check out the Blue Grass band (jamming session) at the Pub in Paul for live music on Tuesday nights and amazing pub and coastal walk in Zennor. For fresh fish and shellfish go to Newlyn - fantastic crab, red mullet etc bought there.
Emily and Charlie, Bristol, October '08
Brilliant week and good weather! We recommend The Ship for food. Will come again!
John, North Somerset, December '08
Had a great week! Love the Net Loft, weather pretty good, lots of sightseeing from a perfect base.

The good stuff that everyone has written is all true. The Net Loft is cosy, light and airy.
Paul and Helen, Shropshire, February '09
3rd visit! Delightful as always with many lovely new touches such as flowers on arrival and new books. Did a day trip to the Isle of Scillies. Very cheap at £35 return boat trip from Penzance. Will be back!
Osama, London, April '09
What a wonderful little hide-away and in such a quaint little fishing village. We love Mousehole and are so happy we spent a week of our trip here. Loved the hike to Lamorna, hanging out and watching the life of the harbour. We agree the Ship Inn was delish for dinner and enjoyed the wonderful art galleries and talking to the locals about the history of this amazing place. Sorry to take up so much space. Also loved the local kitty cats that make 'Mousehole' their home. Do you have mice in Mousehole with so many cats around?!
Kim and Stan, California USA, April '09
A perfect place to turn 30! We enjoyed the walk to Lamorna with Oscar in his sling ( no way with a buggy) and light lunch at slightly spook-dog Lamorna Wink. Net Loft was a delight as was the Ship Inn.
Ben, Emma and Baby Oscar, London, April '09
All the other entries are right - a wonderful retreat with real character. Incredible walking despite coastal winds and uncertain weather. I will miss the seagulls.
Clodagh, London, April '09
Yet again had a great time in Mousehole, very glad we found the Net Loft, great place to stay, had everything we needed. Will definitely be back later in the year. Thanks.
Chat and Aimee, Warwickshire, May '09
Great cottage and village. Shame about the weather!
Jules and Barry, Surrey, June '09
Highlight- train to St Ives from Penzance only £3.30 return, 1/2 hour service, 1/2 hour to get there, scenery spectacular all along the beach you could never see by road. Chill out at St Ives...
British Legion here great for cheap drinks and chatty locals. Donbas Ale! The old man opposite "Butts" was so kind to us, his a legend. Mr Butts :)
Truly and Any, Portsmouth, July '09
A brilliant place to stay. The best choice we could have made. Some pros and cons:-
Pros: Porthcurno Beach, Zennor, Carbis Bay, the Cornish Range, Janner's, The Ship Inn.
Cons: car park prices, lots of bad art obscuring the good stuff, Lands End is dire!
Lots more positives from negatives to be fair and Mousehole is the best place to see this part of the world from.
"A great holiday!" -Shel
Phil and Shel, Cardiff , July '09
Fantastic holiday, very restful. Net Loft is a delight - very light and airy. Could do with some more kitchen utensils, nobody could use the can opener. Used buses a lot, very good service, haven't used car all week. Would come back to Mousehole and Net Loft again.
Chris and Christene, Worcestershire, July '09
Note: Can opener replaced and new utensils purchased - Andy Lelli
Had a lovely relaxing time at the "Net Loft". Mousehole is a delight, as is the many beauty spots nearby. Many thanks, Mandy & Cliff
Mandy & Cliff,
Great Bar, Birmingham, August '09
Had a really wonderful stay here in Mousehole. Blessed with fab weather. Fantastic coastal walks - especially to Lamorna Cove. Cornish Range and 2 Fore Street are excellent eating. LOVED the Net Loft. Gorgeous place to stay.
Thanks.
Jen and Moirai, Cumbria , August '09
A fantastic place to stay and it has been an ideal base from which we have explored most of Cornwall!
The dryer does not seem to work and we are not sure if you are aware of this.
Had a fantastic meal in the Boatshed in Penzance -wonderful fresh fish. Also enjoyed bingo and horse racing at The Legion.
Loran and Geoff, Staffordshire, August '09
Note: Dryer fixed - Andy Lelli
We have had a fab stay in Mousehole, it has been made a lot better with a comfy and clean place to stay. We have been using the buses and trains a lot as they are so cheap and much easier than moving the car. We plan to return soon to the Net Loft for another break. Thanks for a fab hol.
Tracey and Kevin, Suffolk, August '09
Lovely holiday, very relaxing, everyone is friendly. Try the legion, made welcome with dogs.
Nina & Gary, Milton Keynes, September '09
Has been a great place to stay - a home from home for me and the dogs. Can't believe how good the weather has been.
Neil & Steve, London, September '09
Been great to be back in Mousehole again - loved the Net Loft v comfy and well equipped - fab food at The Ship Inn - especially fish - buses not good from Penzance but train worse! Will be back.
Sarah & Pat, Saffron Walden, Essex, October '09
We have had a lovely breaking Mousehole. Great walk to Lamorna Cove. Good food at the Ship and Fore Street fish restaurant. This is our second visit and we will be back! :)
Paul and Annie, Dorset, October '09
Lovely week and great location. Gorgeous weather in November is possible! Thanks to Mousehole for amazing 5th Nov fireworks. The 'luxury' hot chocolate at the Larmorna Cove cafe has to be seen to be believed!!! We'll be back.
James, Barb and Kiara (4 mths), Canada, November '09
We were pleasantly surprised. The photos don't do this place justice. Mousehole is very quiet but fun to walk down the left from the quay car park when it's choppy as you get a bit wet!!! Dog loved it and slept a lot. Went for walk to Lamorna Cove, took four hours very very wet and a dangerous bit (when rained) where a small stream turned into a gushing torrent, worth it though. Heating works really well. Very homely, didn't seem like someone else's place. Hungry Hippos is broken, shame. The corner shop is great, just about sells everything you need and the fresh bread us really nice, good service too.
Matthew and Donna, Worcester, November '09
Superb stay. Extremely comfortable, reluctantly having to go home today. Highly recommend the Cornish Range. Very helpful shop owner. New people in The Ship. Leave the car in the car park and jump on the bus to Penzance. Highlight of our visit was managing to get tickets for Christmas concert of Mousehole Male Voice Choir. Wonderful end to an equally wonderful weekend.
Jenny and Roger, Dorset, December '09
Well, we had another amazing time spending New Year at Mousehole, definitely coming back again this year! We are getting seriously addicted to this place. The people are so lovely.
Trudy & Andy, Portsmouth, January '10
We have had an amazing weekend! The weather has been chilly but sunny. We did the coastal walk to Lamorna and back to Mousehole via the roads. It took about 3 hours and was probably 5/6 miles. Stunning views.
Saturday night we ate at the Cornish Range which was very good food and a stylish restaurant with friendly staff. Sunday night we ate in the seafood cafe in St Ives. This restaurant is fantastic + lovely knowledgable owners and staff. We had a great weekend, the Net Loft is brilliant. Be back soon. xx
Emma & David, Ascot, January '10
We have had another amazing time in Mousehole. It was Dudleys first Mousehole holiday and we have never known him to sleep so much! We were blessed with lovely sunny weather which added to the week. The Net Loft was better than expected, lovely and cosy! Thank you for the bubble bath, wine and Valentine chocs, they were very appreciated (and candles). Only advice to anyone reading this is beware the walk to Lamorna after heavy rain!! Thank you Andy for a lovely relaxing half term break.
Sue & Kevin, February '10
What a beautiful little cottage in a n area steeped in history. We have had a lovely time and would like to come back later in the year in the high season. Mousehole is an ideal location with Penzance just minutes away. Highly Recommended.
Julia & Dan, Potters Bar, Hertfordshire, February '10
Can't believe it's been two years since our last visit! Far too long! The weather has been a bit against us but we made use of all the lovely restaurants ie The Seafood Cafe in St Ives. Paradise Park in Hayle is good for kids and have discovered the best ever Indian takeaway: Baba in Penzance. Casper loved filling his wellies with sea water in the harbour and eating the local sand. We love the Net Loft it's perfect for us. thx R x
Slightly soggy weekend but well worth the long trip down. Didn't need my sun glasses. Casper mastered the stairs and insists that nothing is better than sea weed lightly sprinkled with sand as an entree. Henry
Henry, Rachael & Casper, Finsbury Park, London, March '10
Our second visit to the Net Loft. Still lovely although our third visit to beautiful Mousehole in 10 months. We have eaten at the Cornish Range three times and have found the food and service excellent. Not impressed with the Old Coastguard despite the alleged Marco Pierre White comments. We will be back. That's us not Marco.
Jenny & Rogan, Wimbourne, May '10
First visit here. It is a lovely place to shop and will come back very soon. Found it via website as usually go to Sennen Cove but is such a lovely clean + attractive loft. Thanks. Ship Inn a local still. Only problem was a young seagull who was stalking us!
Carolyn & Chris, Worcester, June '10
Lovely cottage, cosy and comfortable. We had a great time.
Katheryn, Forest Hill, London, June '10
We've had a lovely sunny week in Mousehole. Recommend visiting Cape Cornwall and walking from Sennen Cove to Land's En. Surfing lesson Sennen Surf School as was watching dolphins from St. Michael's Mount. Net Loft is a great place to stay - perfect position, light and airy, lovely views. Only small criticisms very noisy fridge and no washing up liquid or plunder for cafetiere. But to be honest everything's pretty much perfect!
Daniel & Stephen, Godalming, June '10
A fab cottage, a fab holiday, a fab village. Can't wait to be back. Wifi hot spot by the estate agents next to 'The Grange'. Had a wonderful holiday in and around Mousehole. The weather has been great + so much to visit and see in + around Mousehole, an ideal location to visit all. Last night was fantastic - went to the Minnack theatre - drop dead gorgeous views - spectacular! I do think we will be coming back :)
Mr & Mrs Chapman, Huddersfield, West Yorks, June '10
We have both had a fantastic time at the Net Loft. The weather has been glorious (except day one!) and the setting is very picturesque. We struggled a bit to find somewhere affordable and nice to eat but were able to make good use of the public transport to eat elsewhere. The facilities in the Net Loft were also very good. Our grumpy Collie has also had a great time although he is please to be leaving tomorrow - it seems that all the fresh air has worn him out.
Victoria, Chesterfield, June '10
Great little place! Good base for doing the 'tourist' bit and a wonderful neighbour in 'Butts'. Mousehole magic. As Arnie said "I'll be back". David
I need a holiday to recover. So much to do. Love the sound of the seagulls in the morning. Love Butts! Thanks for the milk-shampoo, washing up liquid and stuff, it really makes a difference when you don't have to go and buy stuff like that. Linda
David & Linda, Kendal, July '10
Found Mousehole and the Net Loft on Google. Super. Absolutely fantastic, hope to be back to Cornwall in a couple of years time to see more of beautiful countryside.
Wally & Carol, Western Australia, July '10
We loved Mousehole and the Net Loft. Great place to recharge the batteries. What a great neighbour Butts is. Surprising what wildlife you can see if you look for it. Good pub food found in The Ship. Skylight broken on arrival and will not shut.
Colin & Karen, Maldon, Essex, July '10
Note: Skylight fixed and new blinds fitted - Andy
We have had a fantastic time, lovely little cottage and the seagulls are like nothing we have heard before! Our second time to Mousehole - not our last.
Kath & Jason, Derbyshire, July '10
A delightful Net Loft with great history, and friendly neighbours. We have all enjoyed out stay here and Buster has become a bird watcher.
Frank, Judi & Buster, St Albans , August '10
A lovely chilled out week. Visits to the Minnack Theatre ("Love's Labours Lost") and the Eden project couldn't have been bettered. Lot's of walking (and eating!) Train to St. Ives (make sure you change to St. Erth!) Topped off by meeting 'Smithy' from 'The Bill' at the Carnival! Will be back. x

A great holiday despite the rain! Winnie loved the beach (Long Rock) and swam in the sea for the first time! The Net Loft is a fantastic place to stay and the food at The Ship and 2 Fore Street can be recommended we will certainly be back! :-) NB/ Bedroom lamps were broken - could do with replacing.
Yvonne, Justin & Winnie, Redlake, Shropshire, August '10
A lovely week - managed to fill another part of the coastal path - breathtaking whatever the weather! Loved the Net Loft - thank you.
Janet & Bob, Rossendale, Lancashire, August '10
A great week, weather was lovely. Penny enjoyed her walks on long beach!
Katy, Garry & Penny, Frimley, Surrey, September '10
We've had a fantastic stay at the Net Loft, we love Mousehole. We've tried everyplace to eat here and enjoyed every meal! Did the walk from Lamorna - Mousehole, fantastic views although some bits tough! Also walked from Porthgwarra - Porthcurno, worth a walk!
PS No evidence of mice during our stay!
Lydia, Will & Theo, Stourport, Worcs, September '10
Weather held out with lovely sunshine up to our last full day. The Net Loft is cosy & comfortable. Food at Fore Street restaurant & The Coast Guard Hotel was lovely. Recommend Sennon Cove, St Ives & Falmouth, not Isles of Scilly!! Had a fab time, Emma & Scott (us girls need a long mirror!)
Scott & Emma, Bedfordhshire, September '10
We had a fantastic time and love the Net Loft! We're luck to have had July weather in October :-) - 2 Fore Street restaurant is great - really really good food. Thanks you!
Elly & Andrew, Cardiff, October '10
Had a glorious sunny week in Mousehole - take a look at the sunrise!! Visit Purthco bay and enjoy the scenic walks - a lovely birthday Malcolm will remember!
Malcolm & Christine, Maidstone, Kent, October '10
What a beautiful place to stay, in a glorious part of Cornwall! The Netloft feels very homely & has everything one could possibly need for an enjoyable relaxed stay. It was immaculate and clean on arrival which is exactly what you want after a long journey. (There was definitely no evidence of mice (see sep 4th comment). Close to some great restaurants (2 Fore Street) and breathtaking views. Met some brilliant locals (Neighbour Butts). Was also very fortunate to meet the owner Andy - a brilliant, generous man who does everything he can to ensure his guests have an enjoyable stay (he's also easy on the eyes). Will without doubt be back and recommend to friends! :-)
Brooke, Sydney, Australia, October '10
This is our third visit to the Net Loft, we have had a fab time.
Annie and Paul, Dorset, October '10
We've had a great time staying at the Net Loft; a great place in a brilliant location. Thanks and see you again!

Lovely break away from home. Great by day and night. Go and have a drink with 'Butt' next door.

Clare and Robert, Nottinghamshire, January '11
Lovely break, nice cottage. Thank you. xx
Jane, Emily and Ben, Northampton, February '11
Thanks for having such a good selection of maps and walk books. We have enjoyed exploring. Good base to stay.
Richard, Somerset, February '11
Another great visit to the Net Loft. We love it here. We started with a day visit to the Scilly Isles by helicopter - a fabulous way to see the Islands. On Sunday we went north for a coastal walk at Zennor finishing at a cracking pub called the Gurnards Head positioned just behind the landmark. Strongly recommend this walk and the pub. The food was exceptional/ Make sure you book in advance though to avoids disappointment. When we got back to Mousehole we went for a walk around the village, had some supper at the Ship Inn, came back to the Net Loft and watched Ferris Bueller's Day off. A perfect end to a perfect Sunday. We definitely earned the relaxation time after our coastal walk! We will definitely be back. xxx
PS The fish and chip shop isn't open on Sunday's!!
Emma and James, London, March '11
We had a delightful stay here. Plenty to do and see. Even the weather was perfect. Very comfortable in the Net Loft. Thanks.
Roger & Yvonne, Llanfihangle, Wales, April '12
Our 4th visit to what we now consider a home away from home. The Net Loft was as cosy and as lovely as ever (thanks Andy and Brooke), we were greeted with festive Christmas decorations!! Saturday was the switch on of the Mousehole Christmas lights - what a great experience! 200+ people crowded around the harbour singing carols with a local choir and a brass band - there was also plenty of mulled wine. It was really special to be a part of it and def kicked off the festive season for us. Can't wait for out spring visit! L & H
Luciele & Henry, London, December '12
We've just had four nights at the Net Loft. It rained almost continually, but we couldn't have been more warm and cosy. It's been the perfect place to come between work and the mania of Christmas and we're ready to face the festive season recharged and ready to go. We'll certainly be back whenever we can!
Mandy & Eleanor, December '12
HAPPY NEW YEAR! We have been coming to Cornwall for many years and never realised how enchanting Mousehole was until now. The harbour lights are more magical than anything Harry Potter could conjure & the firework display NYE was stunning. If you like walking we recommend from here to Penzance and Sennon Cove to Lands End - both breathtaking views. If you like eating we recommend 3 places on your dorrstep - The Old Coastguard has excellent food for a superb price, 2 Fore Street is a little more pricey but the food is equally as good - & finally Jenners is great for a chippy supper! Happy holidays to all!

This is our 12th year in Mousehole but the first in the Net Loft. Our previous abode did not welcome dogs (well done for you doing so). We have had a good few days break after the Christmas festivities. Weather 1st few days good - sunny and quite warm. Played on beech with Max at Sennen. Walked and mingled with the locals. Then it went down hill - wet wet wet and gales. The over the harbour meant a good few photos for the album. We've seen it all before but it is still a thrilling sight. We have been very comfortable here at the Net Loft and thank you for making our stay a welcome break. Thank you Andy & Brooke
Notes. Tap needs adjustment as leakage quite bad sometimes. We didn't smell any dogs on arrival but when i got the hoover going then i did. Found all very clean and appreciate the touches around ie tea/coffee/milk/biscuits etc
John, Angie & Max, Llantrisant, January '13
Note: Plumber called to fix the tap. Hoover bag replaced and given a good clean to get rid of the doggy smell! - Andy
We have just had our 14th visit to the Net Loft and we have enjoyed it just as much if not more. The Net Loft we class as our second home it is soft comfy and cosy thank you Andy & Brooke. The gesture of tea, coffee, biscuits, flowers etc are very thoughtful and are needed after a seven hr journey. We leave with the thought to coming back later in the year. Enjoy your stay.
Claire, Rob & George, Worksop, Notts, February '13

Yummy food at Fore Street and The Old Coastguard (good wi-fi if you need to check emails too). Spa day @ Harbour Spa, St. Ives - lovely views + excellent afternoon tea! Golf @ West Cornwall gold Club, wasexcellent - links course, as was beach next to course. We hope to be back soon. :-) Thank you Andy + Brooke.
p.s. tea tray is a nice touch esp. after a long drive. Bear our springer spaniel had a doggie romance with Welsh springer 'Flora' staying @ the Old Coast Guard! Bless.

Really nice winter break here in Mousehole, our first at the 'Net Loft'. A lovely cosy retreat which catered for all our needs while here in Cornwall. Thank you for accepting all 3 of our dogs, we wouldn't have come without them so it was wonderful for you to welcome all three. Our three girls in their Autumn days have had a lovely time. Our children bought us the break as a Christmas gift and it has been really enjoyed, we hope very much to come back again soon. Thank you so much.

This is our 1st visit to Mousehole and won't be our last. Wonderful and interesting area, have visited St. Ives twice! The Ship Inn is a good place to eat, very friendly and good food.
Loved staying at Net Loft and will definitely be paying another visit, hopefully in the Spring. Many thanks.
Barbara & Aiden, Cardiff, March '13
This was my 1st trip to Mousehole and Cornwall. I had great time. Great walks, great pubs, friendly locals and surprisingly cooperative weather. I'd love to come back and se the sights I couldn't quite fit in. Thanks to Andy & Brooke.
Bob, London, April '13
Our fourth visit in four years; Net Loft excellent as always, and weather has been good.
Hope to return again this year.
Many thanks.
Chris & Cally, Worcester, April '13
Our 6th visit to Mousehole and our fifth stay at the Net Loft. Unfortunately the drive down from Dorset had been in appauling weather, then not a good start, key system had been changed and we hadn't been told. Neighbour across the way came to our rescue just! Having eventually settled into the Net Loft we had a power cut. All was well when we woke up the next morning to beautiful sunshine which stayed with us until we left on Saturday morning. Good fish from Jenners. Wonderfully yummy cream tea from the new Deli overlooking the harbour. No. 2 Fore St restaurant, food is still good but service is a little quick, not ideal if you enjoy a leisurely meal. Great breakfast at the new Deli Cafe before we left for home. Mousehole and the Net Loft never disappoint, we will be back soon. Thank you.
Jenny, Roger & George, May '13
What a wonderful place to stay. Found everything we needed indoors. Great weather most of the week. Wild flowers along the lanes to Porthcurno were amazing, as were the beaches. Sad to be leaving it all behind in this mornings brilliant sunshine!
PS Go to a performance at Minack!
Joy and Merve, May '13
Got a chance for another week - Just a month on! Weather wonderful all week. Mousehole great in the sun, plenty of places to sit and soak up the harbour life. You should try Penbirth and Porthgowa for quiet coves.
Net Loft as welcoming and comfortable every time we come down.
Chris and Cally, Worcester, June '13
Really enjoyed The Net Loft and our stay in Mousehole. Have walked around for a few hours in a past visit to the UK but was wonderful to stay in the village and enjoy local walks. It was very close to many of the great attractions around the area. Highlight was walking to St Michael's Mount.
Joan and Lois, Christchurch, New Zealand , June '13
A mixed week weather wise, good for us as we are beachers and walkers. We've enjoyed the Net Loft, a lovely sunny room, looking out onto the nest of a baby gull. Just a shame we won't be here to see it fledge. We had a fantastic meal at The Gurnard's Head (near Zennor, St Ives), perfect food and service. A stunning coastal walk from Pendeen to St Just (catching the bus back to Pendeen).
Kate and Nigel, London, July '13
Our 15th stay at the Net Loft has been so relaxing and the weather has done us proud, sunshine everyday, we enjoy it more with each visit. Thanks for the goodies. Our thoughts are for our return before the end of the year. Enjoy your stay!
Clare and Rob, Nottinghamshire, July '13
I was here for The Stamford Shoestring's production of 'Anne Boleyn' at The Minack. Blessed by good weather (save for a squall which caused the Wednesday evening performance to be called off), we performed to sell-out audiences. My wife and I toured this unfamiliar (to us) part of England with delight - discovering The Old Coastguard and Ben's Cornish Kitchen for excellent meals. Many thanks - we look forward to coming again!
David and Sue, Rutland, July '13
Chris and I stayed for 2 weeks in the Net Loft for our honeymoon after getting married in North Devon. The roses and bubble were much appreciated on arrival! We've fallen in love with Mousehole - we've had excellent meals at 2 Fore Street and The Old Coastguard but the best was a whole spider crab at Jessie's Dairy with BYO booze - a great fun night. We also had a very fun and successful fishing trip out of Penzance with Mermaid Pleasure Cruises. We also loved Newlyn - great little gallery and café.
Chris and Pippa, London, August '13
We enjoyed another week at the Net Loft. Very highly recommend Pam's Pantry for lunch. The place is a real gem, and they do the best fish pie ever!
Jo and John, Leicestershire, September '13
Had a lovely 3 days here and would have loved to stay longer. Went to Ship Inn. Pam's Pantry and King's Arms all so lovely food and service. Thank you for the milk etc on arrival!
Kim and Rob, Dorset, October '13
Thank you so much for the goodies and allowing our dogs to stay. We had a fabulous week and even though we have stayed in Mousehole several times before, we have discovered yet more amazong beaches to stroll along, for example: Portreath, Gwithian and Godrevy. Once again we leave with heavy hearts but will be back again in this beautiful village next year I'm sure.
Sally and Jason, Sheffield, November '13
Our 16th time at the Net Loft we love it. it's our retreat. Had a lovely week as always, weather not too bad, a little rain but lots of sunshine. Our last visit for 2013 but we will be back early 2014 for another year of lovely peaceful holidays. Thank you.
Clare and Rob, Notts, November '13
Mousehole is a very relaxing place to stay and the Net Loft location within a few yards of the harbour, the bus stop and the Ship Inn could not be bettered. We found the Net Loft comfortable and adequately equipped and furnished although the cooker hob proved very temperamental, accepting instructions when it felt like it - however it always got there in the end - future guests, persevere! The bus service to Penzance and on to St Ives was excellent, well worth leaving our car in the precious harbour side car parking space. The Ship Inn serves generous portions.
Elaine and Keith, Berkshire, November '13
Mousehole is a beautiful unspoilt Cornish fishing village with tasteful shops and excellent restaurant '2 Fore Street'. We were here for the harbour lights, which are magical. We enjoyed your books on local history, thank you. A very relaxing place to stay - love your Net Loft.
Maurice and Judi, Somerset, December '13
We fell in love with this cottage when we saw pictures... coming here just confirmed it. Beautiful place for a really relaxing holiday. Thank you for making this place really feel like home! I loved the books about smugglers. :)
We love Cornwall and are coming back here every two months... you are going to see us again.
Anna, London, December '13
The Net Loft had everything I needed for a quiet and relaxing short break. It's a lovely cosy apartment. The books and DVDs were much appreciated! I made good use of the kitchen facilities but also had a lovely meal at The Old Coastguard - also a great view. Thank you very much.
Rachel, Cambridge, January '14
Enjoyed our stay at the Net Loft, warm and cosy with everything you need for a relaxing break. Will definitely come back.
Jean and Monty, Bristol, January '14
What a beautiful place to stay... I came to Mousehole to check out the bird sanctuary , I'm a photographer currently undertaking a project about gulls. My four day trip turned into 8 days and then still reluctant to go I asked four a further 2 days! Thanks Andy! You've been really great. I love the place.
Jenny, Exeter, March '14
This was our 3rd time in the Net Loft and we enjoyed it like all the other times before. It is just beautiful - the landscape, the culture, the cosy loft - so it is worth the 12 hour drive. We will come back! Thanks to Andy!
Astrid and Kris, Germany, March '14
The Net Loft is a charming and well equipped cottage. I came to Mousehole to visit friends in the village and also to recover from a family bereavement. This cottage ticked all the boxes for me. I especially enjoyed watching a gull hatch from the lounge window. Can recommend 2 Fore Street and Jessie's Dairy for meals and ice-creams. Thank you.
Gill, Kent, June '14
During our time staying in the Net Loft we found it a peaceful, comfortable and beautiful place to relax and soak in the sights. We loved looking out to our sea view (limited, I know, but no less special), watching the day turn to night, as well as the treat of seeing 3 young seagull chicks grow in size and confidence. The Net Loft gave us everything we needed: including lovely neighbours.
Robert and Samuel, Bristol, June '14
Had a great week in the Net Loft. Very comfortable and so convenient from every point of view. Unbelievable weather all week!! We shall definitely be returning. Thanks Andy and Brooke.
PS Keep an eye on the fledgling.
John and Shirley, Hants, June '14
We've had a brilliant stay in Mousehole and the Net Loft was perfect accommodation. Hattie has visited Mousehole many times through her life, in various different cottages, but says that this is one of the nicest she has stayed in. This was my first visit to Mousehole and I've loved every moment of it. As I am writing this, we are sitting quietly, listening to the tapping on the roof (the baby gull), and we are a little sad that this is our final night here, but we both look forward to returning one day. It's been a brilliant holiday, and I won't forget it.
Thanks, Joe and Hattie.
PS The baby seagulls were very entertaining.
Joe and Hattie, Surrey, June '14
It's been an absolutely lovely holiday! & the Net Loft has been the perfect setting. Mousehole is very charming, we've had some great meals at 2 Fore Street and The Cornish Range. A great place to relax and hopefully we will come again, possibly to see the lights! Thanks a lot. Sam and Matt xx
Matt and Sam, Bristol, July '14
A little piece of Paradise!
Wonderful coastal walk to Lamorna. Amazing evening at Minack Theatre. Great to be in the heart of the village and able to 'pop back' for a brew. The birds on the roof have kept us amused all week - but make a mess of your windows!
Mousehole is definitely our favourite holiday destination and would love to come back to the Net Loft.
Ian and Linda, Lancashire, July '14
We had a lovely time in Mousehole, The Net Loft was a lovely place to stay and I'm sure we will be back. We got engaged while we were staying here so we will have very fond memories of being here.
Thank you for a lovely stay,
James and Kate
Kate and James, Warwickshire, August '14
We absolutely loved it here and are very said to leave! The cottage is lovely, Mousehole is beautiful and we've enjoyed all the walks and beaches.
Keith and Elspeth, August '14
We have had a lovely week staying at the Net Loft which has proved to be an ideal location for exploring the surrounding beaches.
The cottage has been a cosy and comfortable base for us, and we hope to come back again in the future.
Richard and Sophie, Leicestershire, August '14
A lovely comfortable base for our holiday in Mousehole. and surrounding area. Completely spoilt with the weather, we have enjoyed trips to Sennon Cove and had an early start to walk along the south west coastal path to Porthcurno Beach, stunning scenery. Locally we relaxed at the Rock Pool Cafe with coffee and enjoyed meals at The Ship Inn and Old Coastguard along with local ales and ciders. We hope to return again!
Alison and Ross, London, September '14
Please note that between September 2014 and March 2015 we had renovations carried out in the kitchen and bathroom, the a long term guest for a few months. We hope our subtle face lift makes your stay even more comfortable
Enjoy!
Brooke & Andy (owners), March '15
We have had a wonderful weeks holiday (Evelyn's first) in the beautiful Mousehole in glorious weather! The Net Loft has been a great 'home from home' to explore from.
We highly recommend a trip to St Ives (lovely shops), The walk to Lamorna Cove from Mousehole is a must (if you have the legs for it plus sensible footwear!) and some fish and chips on the beach in Mousehole Harbour with the locals is a lovely end to the day.
Thank you very much for a great holiday base, we have made some lovely family memories here.
Emily, Paul and Evelyn, Leamington Spa, April '15
We only popped this way as an add-on to a wedding that we went to. We have absolutely loved our stay at the Net Loft and wish we had made a week of it!
The locals are delightful, as is the quality of food served in nearby restaurants - 2 Fore Street is a personal favourite! Despite poor weather - how typically English - we still found time to explore this south westerly point and had a great time.
A visit to Lands End is always a must. The parking ticket is valid for 7 days, so we've left it here for the next guests! Thanks for a fab stay Andy and Brooke!
Colin and Liz, Berkshire, May '15
Another lovely week at the 'Net Loft'.
Great refurbishment!
'Peppercorn Kitchen' at Perranuthnoe (TR20 9NE) great place for lunch.
Helford River - Spectacular.
Hope to return next year.
John and Shirley, Fleet, Hants, May '15
Very cosy accommodation right in the centre of the village. Good to have the seaview. We have had fantastic weather for sunbathing on the beach and walking. Sennon Cove to Lands End is a great walk, reasonably level with amazing views of the Cornish Coast line. The seagull chicks are doing well and like all babies cry at night!! Minack Theatre evening performance was really good, we were so lucky with the weather and watching the moon rise and light up the stage was very special. The Ship served food which was very good and reasonably priced and of course dont miss out on fish and chips sat on the harbour wall. Drove to Marazion and walked the causeway to St Michael's Mount the gardens are amazing, full of exotic plants hanging onto the cliffs and flourishing so if you enjoy gardening this is a must do!
Many thanks for the milk and to Jackie who rescued us when we locked ourselves out.
Ade and Pat, Northampton, June '15
2nd visit to the Net Loft, loved our stay and the quality of the accommodation. The coastal walk from Mousehole to Lamorna is a favourite of ours with beautiful views. St Michael's Mount is also glorious at this time of year. Great food at the Ship and altogether enjoyed our stay with great weather this year as well.
Ian and Linda, Lancashire, June '15
This is our second stay in the Net Loft, with a couple of friends this time and we've really enjoyed it.
We've done lots in and around Mousehole and even when the weather is cold and rainy, the Net Loft is just a nice place to sit and chill out. I didn't need to set an alarm clock as I was woken pretty regularly by juvenile seagulls tapping on the skylights, but I think they are quite entertaining to look at so I din't mind.
Everyone agrees this is a great place to stay and we are looking forward to visiting again.
Hattie, Joe, Tom and Katherine, Surrey, July '15
We stayed here for the honeymoon of our secret wedding! It's been a fantastic hideaway. We have enjoyed walking on the coastpath (Mousehole to Lamorna Cove, v.good). Porthcurno beach and the beach cafe are great. Many pints of Tribute and Rattler have been drunk in various local pubs. The Old Coastguard hotel was great for a special meal. The Net Loft has been a lovely place to stay and would love to return in winter.
PS See the Mousehole Male Voice Choir if you can.
Gavin and Tiffany, Dorset, July '15
Thank you, lovely place to stay, including seagulls! Mousehole lovely as ever. Lucky with weather and a lovely holiday here, sure we will be back!
Dave and Linda, West Sussex, August '15
Our first 'family' holiday in the beautiful Mousehole and ideal Net Loft. We've had fish and chips, eaten sand, made lots of friends (and that's just Orla!)
as our third visit to Mousehole it's simply beautiful from when we last left in 2012... next stay... harbour lights come December!
'Rockpool' along the coastal path out of Mousehole is quint and delicious.
Until next time Mousehole, missing you already!
Warren, Kerry and 11 month old Orla, Essex, September '15
Had a great week here - the Net Loft was a perfect base for us. It's really light and plenty warm enough - some good weather has also helped!
Mousehole is lovely and we've been lucky to find this spot right the centre.
Ryan and Rachel, Sheffield, September '15
We have been coming to Mousehole for 25 years and love it.
The Net Loft suited us perfectly - we found it warm, comfortable and clean. We would recommend it and would return.
Thanks Andy and Brooke.
Jill and Colin, Devon, October '15
Our first visit to The Net Left, but not our first to the area; our family hails from Newlyn and so we've had a good catch up with lots of cousins and aunts! Great little bolt-hole to return to every evening - we will return again.
Ate well at The Ship twice. Good fish, quick and cheerful service. Nice lunches at the cafe attached to Penlee Gallery. You don't need to pay to go into the cafe and meals are good and reasonable. The Minack still pulls us back after 50 years!
Glad we found the Net Loft, it's been perfect for us.
Keith and Sharon, Somerset, October '15
Many visits to Cornwall over the last few years... but our first staying in Mousehole- what a lovely place! It has a charm all of it's own, not too big, not too small, just right.
We were blessed with fine weather for most of our week (the storm was interesting!) and were surprised at how warm and cosy The Net Loft is to come back to after a sunny day, despite the sharp drop in temperature outside after dark.
Recommended places to visit? - Botallack, Porthcurno and Penzance. The first two for scenery and the latter for the galleries and Penlee House, seeing Walter Langley's large water colours 'in the flesh' s not to be missed!
Sad to leave but had a lovely relaxing stay.
Teresa and David, Portsmouth, October '15
Mousehole is a lovely place to be and the Net Loft is very cosy. Did all the usual things around here, all have been mentioned in past reports.
Full week of sunshine which was fantastic and also watched the moon eclipse, again a sight to see - maybe in 33 years time.
Ann's Cornish pasties in the Lizard village are truly the best, have coffee in Godolphin Hotel Marazion and look out over St Michael's Mount.
Mike and Dorothy, York, October '15
First visit to Mousehole and found the place friendly and charming. Netloft was warm and comfortable and a great base to explore the area. Highlight was he Minack Theatre and St Ives.
Many thanks for a great stay.
Julia and Iain, Devon, November '15
This has been a great find and I can see why you get so many 'repeat' visitors.
At first we were apprehensive about visiting Cornwall as a winter destination, however, we didn't need to be: the changing weather just added to the experience - especially the wind on our cliff walks each day. A pity we were too early for the Christmas lights - maybe next year!
Gillian and Kenneth, North Lincolshire, December '15
Really lovely place to stay, both The Net Loft and Mousehole.
Bearing in mind it was January we did brilliant with the weather.
Dave and Gill, Ilfracombe, January '16
A truly lovely mini holiday and a truly lovely cottage! Mousehole is delightful and such friendly residents. Did the coastal walk to Lamorna and lucked out with the weather :-) Thank you for such a lovely stay. We will be back :-)
Mandy & Russell, February '16
We have had a lovely few days being mice in our own mousehole! It has been beautifully sunny and we have taken lots of amazing photos. We will be back as soon as we can!
Thanks to Andy, Brooke & Jackie
Alison & Gary, Dorset, March '16
Had a lovely few days in Cornwall, have always loved Mousehole and surrounding areas. Net Loft is cosy and comfortable even with the odd cobweb!
Would recommend Porthcurno, St Michael's Mount and enjoyed Porthleven. Will be visiting again next year for sure.
Had a fab day watching the storm make the waves crash over the harbour wall - not sure if the owners of the flattened cars thought it was quite as amazing as us though!
Thanks H&J
Holly & Jonny, Nottingham, March '16
Note: Feather duster retrieved from the cupboard to get rid of those cobwebs! Andy
Another lovely stay at the Net Loft. So clean, warm and cosy. Mousehole as lovely as ever and the people so friendly as usual. Just perfect. Thank you to Andy, Brooke and Jackie. Thank you for making it so lovely to come to. Will be back in September. Have a great summer, weather good, Pat
P.S We miss our morning and evening chats with 'Butts'. Bless him, what a character, a real gentleman.
Pat and Ady, Wirral, March '16
What a week we had in this enchanting place, on Saturday we had a potter around Mousehole ending up in The lunch and walked back, Ship Inn for a lovely evening meal. Sunday we decided to brave it and we walked the coastal walk from Mousehole to Lamorna, had a lovely lunch and walked back, food this evening was at 2 Fore Street. Monday we visited St Michael's Mount and spent the day, Tuesday was a bus into Penzance then train to St Ives and spent the day. Wednesday we drove to Lands End and caught the skybus plane over to the Scilly Isles, we hired a buggy and went exploring the island. Thursday we took a drive to the Minack Theatre and booked the first show for the Mousehole Cat for Friday evening. Tonight we ate at The Old Coastguard, lovely. Friday off to the mines at Pendeen then fish and chips. The Net Loft was a charming cottage to have had the pleasure to stay in this week. Would love to come back again. Thank you Andy and Brooke and also Jackie.
Simon and Di, Lincolnshire, April '16
Lovely, relaxing time. Lovely walks, brilliant food (Ship Inn) and great places to go.
Net Loft cosy, warm and slept well. Weather good, Friday wet but still managed to go for a stroll. Highlight was the Minack - well worth the visit.
Lovely break, thank you.
Merve and Ali, West Sussex, April '16
We have had a great time in Mousehole. We have had the full Cornwall experience, storms and sun, we liked it so much we asked Andy if we could stay a few more days - luckily for us he agreed!
The Net Loft is cosy and warm we really settled in! We will be back next ear. Many thanks to all concerned!
Trevor and Joan, London, April '16
Really enjoyed our stay, lovely walks, good food and breathtaking views, will recommend to friends. Thank you.

Had a great stay. The weather was beautiful and the position of the flat is excellent. Went to Lands End and St. Michael's Mount. Lots of walking.
Ron & Marion, Melbourne, Australia, May '16
A lovely, short break, ideal location and a lovely little hideaway - very reasonable rates too!
We loved it here and will definitely return. We will be recommending to friends too!
Thank you!
Bonita and Morris, Oxfordshire, May '16
Great location, easy to get anywhere, great walks and good food at The Ship and 2 Fore Street, just feel the cottage could do with a bit of TLC - the fridge makes a gurgling sound, when trying to cook fish the knives were blunt - but overall a pleasant cottage and we enjoyed our visit.
Grahame and Ann, Kent, May '16
Note: New fridge purchased and knives replaced
We have had a great week, this has been a perfect base for our trips in and around Mousehole. The Net Loft is very comfortable and had everything we needed. Many thanks.
Geraldine & Tim, Scotland, June '16
Fantastic weather all week. Visited Lands End, Sennen Cove, St Michael's Mount, Porthcurno, St Ives etc. Great food at The Ship & Old Coastguard. Walk to Lamorna Cove good too. Great time, Thanks.
Claire & Neil, Southwell, Notts, June '16
Dear Andy & Brooke, another lovely stay at the Net Loft. Excellent weather, met some nice people and really enjoyed the week. Went to St. Mawesfor the first time and had a splendid lunch at the 'Treganton'. Also experienced the 'Sea Salts & Sail' festival in Mousehole. Many thanks again.
John & Shirley, Fleet, Hants, July '16
We've had a lovely week in the 'Net Loft' - thank you Andy. Jackie etc. Best bits: Mousehole and the Ship Inn, Sennen Cove, Geevor Tin mine (good fun) and Gwithian Beach (east of the bay of St. Ives) was a real find for us - perfect place for a boogie board then eat at the 'Sunset Surf' cafe there. Porthcurno too busy in August! Kayaking in Mount's Bay towards St Michael's Mount was good too, courtesy of Lawrence at Ocena High. We also saw the most perfect rainbow stretch across from harbour wall to harbour wall on Thursday. We will never forget it.
Nik, Vikki & Zoe, Sevenoaks, Kent, August '16
We have had a really great week in Mousehole. The weather has been very kind to us. We bought a guide to the best beaches in Cornwall and visited coves/beaches we would never have found without it. The Minnack Theatre was amazing, St Ives was lovely even with the steep path. The only place we would like to have visited but we couldn't get near due to traffic was Port Issac. The north coast is stunning. The Ship Inn was great for food. We loved The Rock Pool - super views and the best ice cream i've had. The Old Coast Guard with G&T on the lawn on a sunny afternoon was perfect. It's our first visit to Cornwall and won't be our last.
Sue & Mike, North Yorkshire, September '16
For so late in the year we've had the best weather and have walked and walked. Brilliant cream tea and pints in Mousehole, great pub at The Lizard called The Witches Hole - very friendly. This is a lovely cosy place to stay, will definitely come back! x
Ailsa & Nick, London, October '16
Loved our stay. Great weather. Walk to Lamorna Cove. Pre dinner drinks at the Ship Inn. St Ives. Lands End. St Michael's Mount. Falmouth. Painting Mousehole & Newlyn boats and harbour. And of course our lovely cosy Net Loft.
Rob & Bronwyn, Australia, October '16
We've had such a lovely break here in Mousehole. Such a lovely little village with a lot of character. Saw a fab storm role in, should have moved the car off the harbour wall!! We recommend dinner at '2 Fore Street' around the corner, the food is delicious, especially the calamari!! :-) The house had everything we needed and was very clean.
Alice, Chris & Harrison, November '16
Thank you for a lovely stay!!
Rosie & Jeremy, November '16
Really lovely, will come again!
Linda & Dave, November '16
Thank you Andy & Brooke for yet another (i've lost count) wonderful stay and Jackie for leaving it so warm and clean. Such a haven of peace and so cosy. See you in the New Year. Have a happy and peaceful Christmas.
Pat and Ady, Wirral, November '16
This is my first time visiting Cornwall and I hope its not my last! The Net Loft is beautiful with everything you could need! Little extras like a bottle of milk and tea bags when you arrive after a 6 hour drive is very much appreciated and the Christmas decorations were a lovely extra! We were here for New Year and the fireworks were fantastic, easy to see why so many people came to visit. We loved is here! Thank you for a lovely stay.
Beverly & Dan
Beverley & Dan, Hull, December '16
We caught the end of Tom Bowcock's Eve, which was a shame but as ever the harbour lights are so festive and pretty it makes coming here so special at Christmas. The Net Loft is a lovely place to be with glimpses of the sea from the windows and it is lovely to step out of the doors onto the harbour without the trudge up North Street to Paul where we stayed before!
The Net Loft had everything we needed, even for a Christmas dinner so overall a lovely stay.
Mark & Kathryn, Yeardley, December '16
We are now on our last evening at the Net Loft, feels like a long time but our feet barely touched the ground. There were a few hiccups (no screwlamps over kitchen, no J-clothes and batteries in the remote control needed replacing) and obstacles; tried the coast walk to Lamorna and almost died sheering the cliff faces however we lived to write this and keep enough change from the our taxi ride back for a few pints in the British Legion which is a great alternative to The Ship.
The harbour walls are so impressive, make sure you walk them in the moonlight. Thanks to Jackie for providing us with replacements and Andy and Brooke for the lovely Net Loft to stay in!
Rose and Eric, Plumstead, January '17
Note: Glad to hear that Jackie was able to provide some J clothes and replace the bulbs and batteries for you! Was the coastal walk to Lamorna really that bad? :-) - Andy
Loved it, all of it. Weather brilliant, got parked every time, all i can say it is another world. Will be back for sure. Thanks xxx
Brenda & David Wraysbury, Berkshire, April '17
What a wonderful stay! We couldnt have asked for a more fabulous few days. The Net Loft is gorgeous and couldnt be more perfectly located. Lazy sunny days were spend in Sennen Cove, St Ives, Porthcurno beach followed by a brilliant play at The Minnack Theatre - a must!
Henry & Rachael, Holyport, Berks, April '17
